Espace Mont Blanc is an entity of cross-border cooperation amongst the most emblematic regions in the european mountains. Uniting the communes of the Savoies, the Aosta Valley and Valais which surround the Mont-Blanc massif,  it is about an expanding reality of sustainable development on a scale of a territory with an exceptional natural heritage.

It is with this spirit that since 2007, Espace Mont-Blanc has established a fruitful collaboration with the UTMB^® giving rise to concrete actions to minimise the effects of the event upon the environment.

Espace Mont-Blanc, is associated with the commission of the environment which is at the centre of the organisation, to elaborate a charter defining solutions for ecological responsibilities  and to participate in the  initiative  "ambassadors for the environment". The financial support given in particular allows the promotion if the use of communal transport for follow the race with the idea of reducing emissions.
