After having carried out a survey involving the 260 athletes who benefitted from the elite registration which was set up in 2016*, the UTMB^®'s organization has decided to consecrate part of its budget in recognition of the high caliber athletes by installing, as from 2018, a system of remuneration for 4 races (UTMB^®, TDS^®, CCC^®, OCC). It is in recognition of a virtuous circle between the athletes and the event, the exchange of visibility in which both stakeholders participate in making the event a  success.

95% of the athletes who participated in this questionnaire are in favor of a system of remuneration, and for all the UTMB^® races. The UTMB^® has chosen to give the same recognition to men and women. A reminder that elite athletes are invited to the event if they fulfill the invitation criteria.
