- Rory Bosio, the boundless energy -
Inspired by Lizzy Hawker and after a consistent second place in the Western States, Californian Rory Bosio takes the start of her first UTMB® in 2012. On a course shortened to 100km due to heavy rain, she finished 4th in Chamonix, one hour behind Lizzy who signs her fifth victory. Committed to long distance running since she was 22 and endowed with a resilient mind for this type race, she renews the experience the following year. 2013 will be the year of consecration. 7th overall, she finished the race in only 22 hours and 37 minutes. The public discovers its felted strides, its endurance beyond standard and its charming touch of originality. Not stressed by the competition, she reiterates the feat in 2014. After a difficult night, muddy and rainy, she takes the lead at mid-course and do not leave it until the finish line where she wins ahead of Nùrias Pucias. Today Rory is an iconic figure of the trail running community.
