We are preparing the 2019 UTMB® with our partners

Three months after the 2018 edition of the UTMB®, the organizing team of the Sommet Mondial du Trail had the pleasure of bringing together the event's partners for an intense and friendly working day in Chamonix Mont-Blanc. This seminar, organized this year at the Heliopic Hotel, is a time for constructive, frank and warm exchanges where all partners who are actively involved in the success of the event are invited. It is also an opportunity to reveal the projects and challenges for the 2019 edition and to launch projects that involve both the organization and private partners. The UTMB® Mont-Blanc is always at the forefront of innovation and offers its participants, their supporters, spectators and all those who gravitate around this internationally recognized event, the best possible experience... In short, a day that strengthens the bonds and marks the beginning of the next edition. The entire team would like to thank the partners for their commitment and participation.
A look back at the 2018 edition: sharing constructive experiences
This moment of exchange was an opportunity to review with our partners the last edition and to share the highlights and key indicators. The increasingly international podiums, the increasing use of digital and live platforms, image production, fast-growing TV broadcasting and communication were among the key topics and the partners had the opportunity to discuss those issues that are close to their hearts, thus enriching the debriefing of the organizing team. These feedbacks are very valuable for the UTMB® team and will allow us to better meet the expectations of our partners and also to continue to innovate and move forward.
We are already working on the 2019 Sommet Mondial du Trail!
The new UTMB® Mont-Blanc 2019 visual (which will be published at the end of January 2019), international development, priority areas of communication, fight against ambush marketing, the partners discovered the organization's development strategy for the coming year. On this occasion, several speakers intervened. Among them, Mael Besson, head of sport at WWF France, Matthieu Forichon, creator of the 2019 visual, but also Rémi Duchemin and Cristiana Queirolo from UTMB® International, Isabelle Viseux who presented the Livetrail® expertise, Fabrice Perrin and Johanna Masson for Wide agency, partner of the UTMB®TV, but also Antonios Argyropoulos, responsible for the international distribution of the UTMB® images and programs. Disruptive and unique 2019 projects that reinforce UTMB® as an innovative and essential player in outdoor sports and more particularly in trail running. For our partners, it is a great sign of trust and inclusion in the event.
Columbia, Petzl and Julbo awarded for their activations
In the afternoon, our partners were invited to present the activations that they carried out during the event. Seven partners (Garmin, Petzl, Julbo, Tingerlaat, Columbia, Trails Endurance and Crosscall) have succeeded each other in trying to win two "VIP" packages for the 2019 UTMB® but also to share the result of their work. 360° activation, press relations operations, community management, POS displays, each partner has demonstrated creativity and originality in promoting its brand in the Mont Blanc valleys. This year, the award for the best activation goes to Columbia for its film A family affair, about the Camus family. This creation was a great success before, during and after the UTMB®, a production that has generated an undeniable commitment on social networks and whose originality has also made it possible to generate interest among national news broadcasters. Petzl and Julbo complete the podium with transversal activations combining print and digital. What do they have in store for us for the upcoming edition? We can’t wait for 2019!
